What people do not understand is the actual reasoning behind why we have the federal government in the first place – it is to pool our resources to protect the American people; from enemies both foreign and domestic. Thus, we need a strong military, and a good security force, that is why we pay our taxes, and that is why we have the federal government, and why all the states joined together in a common cause; which we call the United States of America. A great nation which just happens to be the best country ever created in the history of mankind.
Now then, it should be obvious to anyone who stops long enough to observe that our freedoms and liberties in the United States are being exploited by our enemies, drug dealers, organized crime, even terrorists. “Governments number one job is to protect the American people,” therefore it is assigned the task; however when a government internalizes these duties against its citizenry, makes assumptions that its own citizenry is out to get it, or destroy the nation, that paranoia leads to a clamping down on the very freedoms that we have, and the reason for the government in the first place. And do remember that we own our government.
We should not be so nave to allow a group of politicians to lead us down a road where we are subservient to a government, rather than the government being subservient to the people. After all, that’s why the United States of America is so great and the government should be afraid of the people, the people should never be made to fear the government, because if they are what’s the difference of living under a dictator, a Czar, a King, or a ruthless socialist government?
Nothing really, it’s all about the same. And it is very possible to have a democracy, and spook the people so bad into paranoia that they are so afraid they give up their rights – not good. This is why the media needs to stay in balance too, and conspiracy theorists need to chill out and take responsibility for their actions, along with protest groups claiming foul of a government, group, corporation, religion, etc. the mob mentality is well known and the Internet allows it to move too fast, but if the online world might also be able to stop it, if government moves too fast, thus, keep it from getting out of hand.
But is the internet or online strategy right for controlling a government? If government moves too fast, that is dangerous, creates instability, but if the mass mob moves to fast, it will overthrow the government which by the nature of its politic and bureaucracy cannot move to meet the fast and rising flow of a river of anger in the electorate – either way, it’s a problem, and whereas, people claim to want change, really they don’t want change all that much, or that fast. Stability of an evolving system is paramount.
It’s amazing that so many Americans do not understand this, or do not realize that there really are people out there, other countries, and folks with their own special interests, which would like to see the United States fall. Personally as an American that doesn’t work for me, therefore we need strong security to protect us against our enemies, and we do have enemies, don’t kid yourself! Some who are currently living amongst us while plotting our downfall, we are stronger than that, if we think.
When you are the best in the world you will always have people trying to push you on that mound, it is human nature. We need to stand firm together with the flag planted here and hold this hill. Please consider all this.
